STATE POLICE: Herkimer County resident charged in Newport domestic dispute

NEWPORT- A local resident is charged in the wake of a domestic dispute this week in Herkimer County.

During the late evening hours on Wednesday, the New York State Police (Herkimer) arrested and charged Kyle M. Walrath, 27, of Poland, NY with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree (disobeying court order).

According to Troopers, this charge was filed in the wake of a domestic incident Wednesday night in the village of Newport, NY.

At press time, Walrath’s arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.
