State Police: Lewis County resident accused of acting in manner injurious to a child

NEW BREMEN- A local resident is faced with an accusation stemming from complaints of a Lewis County domestic dispute over the weekend, authorities say.

Daniel P. Monnat, 28, of Croghan, NY was arrested Sunday evening by the New York State Police (Lowville). Monnat is officially charged with one misdemeanor count of acting in a manner injurious to a child (under 17).

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from complaints filed that same evening in the town of New Bremen.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending.

Monnat was released and there were no additional details available from the State Police.
