State Police: North Country resident charged with felony burglary in Lowville

LOWVILLE- A burglary case in Lewis County has resulted in the arrest of a local resident, authorities are reporting.

Stepheny J. Lavancha, 36, of Watertown, NY was arrested early Tuesday by the New York State Police (Lowville). Lavancha is officially charged with one felony count of burglary in the third-degree (illegal entry w/intent).

Troopers say the arrest stems from a burglary complaint last October in the town of Lowville.

At press time, Lavancha’s arrest status was listed as held.

There were no additional details provided to report.
