State Troopers charge Lewis County man with petit larceny in New Bremen

NEW BREMEN- A local resident is faced with a larceny accusation stemming from reports of a domestic incident over the weekend in Lewis County, authorities say.

Thomas E. McBain, 53, of Croghan, NY was arrested Monday afternoon by the New York State Police (Lowville). McBain is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of petit larceny.

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a reported domestic incident Sunday afternoon in the town of New Bremen.

At press time, McBain’s arrest status was listed as central arraignment and police said an investigation was pending.

There were no further details provided.
