Stefanik congratulates Constantino; gives remarks analyzing latest 2026 midterm results

North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has formally congratulated Republican Congressional candidate Anthony Constantino on his likely victory.
Stefanik cited Decision Desk HQ on her 'X' page, one of the same sources cited from the Constantino campaign declaring victory.
According to the Associated Press and other sources, 96% of the votes have been counted, with Constantino still leading over his Democratic opponent Blake Gendebien 140,119 to 134,390.
Despite other sources and headlines declaring a Constantino victory, the Associated Press and others have yet to call the race at the time this publication was posted.
Regardless, Gendebien, though he has yet to formally concede as of this report, did acknowledge that Constantino will likely be the new Congressman elect.
NBC News reported Thursday morning that there are still 13,000 some votes yet to be counted.
Elise Stefanik was first elected to New York 21 in the fall of 2014, but declared she would not be seeking re-election this time around after over a decade of representing her constituents across the North Country.
Making an appearance this week on CBS News, Stefanik shared her insight and analysis in the wake of a major Democratic flip in Congress for the 2026 midterms.
“As someone who has been on the ballot 7 times and consistently over-performed generic Republicans, you have to work hard to earn votes,” she said.
“It’s not just Trump. It’s Trump AND what are you doing to support your community? Are you listening to constituents? In exit poll after exit poll, when it comes to cost of living - groceries, gas - Republican candidates weren't listening or offering solutions. This is one of the lessons going into 2028.”
Flack Broadcasting will be sharing any new developments that surface regarding the official outcome concerning the race for New York’s 21st Congressional District.
