LEE- A local resident is faced with accusations that stem from a domestic incident this week in Oneida County.
At around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a neighbor dispute in the town of Lee.
During the course of police investigation, it was determined that Charles Santmyer, 43, of Lee, NY was in possession of a knife, which he had in his hand while disputing with the other party involved.
It was further learned that Santmyer had allegedly made several stabbing motions, with knife in hand, toward the other involved party.
Santmyer was taken in for booking and processing. Police say Santmyer is formally charged with one felony count of criminally possessing a weapon in the third-degree.
At press time, deputies said that Santmyer was held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility until CAP Court was in session.
Santmyer is due back in Lee Town Court.
