FLOYD- A local teenage suspect is faced with numerous charges, including a felony, following reports of a domestic incident this week.
It happened Tuesday afternoon at an address on Stearns Road, town of Floyd.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office handled this investigation and according to Sheriff’s Deputies, a 17-year-old male juvenile is formally charged with felony criminal contempt in the first-degree, along with misdemeanor criminal mischief in the fourth-degree and two more violations of harassment in the second-degree.
A suspect name will not be provided, due to youthful offender status. With that said, the teenage suspect is accused of striking a household member and then pushing another household member into a wall to prevent a call to 9-1-1.
This all occurred while an order of protection was active, police said.
Both victims did not complain of any injuries.
At press time, police said the youth was issued with appearance tickets.
