The Boilermaker Road Race Returns this Weekend

For the first time in nearly three years, Utica’s premier summer sports event is getting closer to it is usual status. The Boilermaker Road Race with its 15K, 5K and wheelchair races, thousands of participants, and countless others lining the Utica streets is back this Sunday, July 10th for its 45th edition. The Boilermaker’s many other events are also back on during the weekend. Over 10,000 people are expected to participate in the events this year with the races at about half of the capacity limits. Before participants hit the Utica streets, here are things you need to know ahead of the race: The Health and Wellness Expo returns to the Performance Gym of the Jorgensen Center at Mohawk Valley Community College. Participants can pick up their race packets at the Expo. Don’t forget to bring your confirmation email and a photo ID to pick up the race packets . Race merchandise and interactive booths are also part of the expo. The hours are: Noon to 7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
