THENDARA- A man from the Western Adirondacks, accused of punching a victim in the face several times and assaulting them with a hair straightener, was released with appearance tickets despite causing what police said were concussion like symptoms.

Kevin D. Frisbee, 42, of Thendara, NY was arrested by the Town of Webb Police last Thursday evening. He is formally charged with felony attempted assault in the second-degree; and misdemeanor counts of assault in the third-degree, criminal mischief in the fourth-degree and criminally possessing a weapon in the fourth-degree.

According to Chief of Police Ron Johnston, these charges stem from complaints of a domestic incident that same morning in Thendara.

Investigation revealed that Frisbee allegedly punched the victim numerous times in the face, resulting in concussion like symptoms and other injuries.

Furthermore, Frisbee is accused of destroying a hair straightener after striking the victim across the back with it.

Following processing, Frisbee was released on appearance tickets. All charges are returnable to the Town of Webb Court at a later date.

The court issued an order of protection on the victim’s behalf.
