TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane Reduction to begin September 26 on State Route 28 in the Town of Inlet

HAMILTON COUNTY- The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists today that State Route 28 will be reduced to one lane with alternating flows of traffic controlled by temporary signals between Park Road and Jasper Day Trail near Fifth Lake in the Town of Inlet, Hamilton County, beginning Thursday, September 26.

The lane reduction is necessary to facilitate the installation of a new retaining wall and is expected to take four weeks, weather permitting.

Motorists will encounter a temporary three color traffic signal and should be prepared to stop.

Accommodations will be made for pedestrians, as the sidewalk will be closed in the immediate area of the retaining wall work during construction.

Motorists should use caution when traveling through any work zone.
