Traffic stop in Southern Lewis County results in DWI arrest, Deputies say

PORT LEYDEN- A traffic stop Friday evening resulted in DWI charges filed against a local resident, police say.

Daniel E. Moore, 44, of Port Leyden, NY was arrested by the Lewis County Sheriff's Office. Moore is officially charged with DWI, refusing a breath test, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failing to keep right.

Deputies say the charges stem from a traffic stop on Quarry Street shortly before 8:00 p.m.

Moore was processed at the Public Safety Building and released from there with appearance tickets.

All charges are returnable to Leyden Town Court at a later date.
