Troopers charge out of state person with felony criminally possessing stolen property and false personation in Lewis County

DENMARK- A person, who is from out of state, is faced with larceny related accusations in Lewis County, authorities say.

William F. Mackenzie, 44, of New Brunswick, NJ was arrested Thursday morning by the New York State Police (Lowville). Mackenzie is formally charged with one felony count of criminally possessing stolen property in the third-degree (value > $3,000), along with one misdemeanor count of false personation.

According to Troopers, these charges were filed in the town of Denmark.

At press time, police said that Mackenzie was released.

There were no further details provided.
