Two arrested, charged with petit larceny for alleged shoplifting in Lowville

LOWVILLE- The Village Police Department is announcing a pair of shoplifting arrests.

On May 8, Betty Silva, 53, of Lowville, NY was observed shoplifting from Kinney Drugs, authorities allege. On May 13, Jason T. Lynch, 28, (no address provided) was allegedly observed doing the same thing.

Both were officially charged with misdemeanor counts of petit larceny.

According to Chief of Police Daryl R. Ortlieb, both Silva and Lynch were issued with appearance tickets, which are returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.

There were no further details provided.
