ONEIDA COUNTY- The New York State Police conducted recently their latest underage drinking initiative in Oneida County.

Specifically, this operation involved inspecting 13 total stores and establishments in the Lee and Rome, NY areas.

The mission, according to State Police officials, is to ensure these businesses are complying with laws regarding underage sale of alcoholic beverages.

Out of the 13 locations checked, 2 failed to be in compliance, including Delta Liquors (8593 Turin Road, Lee, NY) and Turin Road Mart (8199 Turin Road, Lee, NY).

Ronald A. Muttillo, 76, from Rome, NY and Prasanna K. Pandi, 24, from Utica, NY were both subsequently charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child first- degree and Prohibitive sale of alcohol to a person under twenty-one years old.

Charges filed are returnable to Muttillo’s and Pandi’s respective courts at a later date.
