Two kayakers found safe after kayak was found overturned on Moose River, Forest Rangers say

WEBB- Two kayakers are safe after their kayak were found overturned in the Western Adirondacks.

It was shortly before 3:30 p.m. Sunday when Forest Rangers McCartney and Pelrah responded to a pair of kayakers who had overturned on Moose River in the town of Webb, Herkimer County.

A little over an hour later, the 44-year-old from Webster, NY and 47-year-old from LeRoy, NY were both confirmed to be safe and out of the water.

Rangers retrieved the kayak that was pinned by a downed tree and helped both subjects back to their vehicle.

No injuries were reported and no further details were provided.
