LOWVILLE- Two local residents are charged in the wake of an alleged domestic incident this week in Lewis County, authorities say.
On Thursday, Lowville Village Police arrested a 17-year-old male from Constableville, NY, charging him with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief in the fourth-degree and resisting arrest.
Chief of Police Daryl Ortlieb says patrols responded to complaints of a domestic dispute Tuesday, which reportedly occurred on Water Street.
During the initial dispute, police said there was an 18-year-old female subject from Constableville, NY, whose name was not released. It's alleged that she attempted to interfere with investigating officers.
The 18-year-old female was subsequently arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of governmental administration in the second-degree.
She was issued appearance tickets, which are returnable to Lowville Town Court. Meanwhile, the male subject was issued with appearance tickets, which are returnable to Lewis County Probation.
Sheriff's Deputies assisted in the case.
