LOWVILLE- It was the most successful-year yet for the traditional chocolate sale. That's according to Lewis County Hospital Auxiliary.
Their spokesperson, Joanne Kellogg, met with us this week and provided an update.
Following a two-year hiatus from COVID, the auxiliary was able to raise $1,547.27 (after expenses) by selling boxes of assorted chocolate covered cherries; buckeyes and pretzel sticks.
"I just want to thank everybody who helped purchase and helped make and anybody that had a part in this chocolate cherry sale," Kellogg told us.

In addition, Kellogg says the sale received a generous $540.30 donation to raise the final total to $2,087.57.
The sale is sponsored each year in early February through Valentine's Day, with all proceeds going to benefit the Hospital Foundation and the Fund for Hope.
