LEWIS COUNTY- Sources confirm that there is now a third death in connection to the fatal accident last month at Potters Corners.
According to the latest updates from WWNY-TV, Kylie Spellicy, the 18-year-old sister to Tyler Spellicy, 16, and daughter of Natasha Spellicy, 39, has died in the hospital from injuries suffered in the collision with a tractor trailer.
The accident occurred on July 17. Tragically, Natasha and Tyler were both killed in the wreck, along with the family’s three dogs.
Meanwhile, Kylie was originally airlifted to SUNY Upstate Medical Center, where she since has passed away from her injuries.
While speaking to reporters, Tyler’s and Kylie’s father and stepmother, Matthew and Monica Spellicy mourned their losses, remembering Tyler as being a helper and Kylie having a beautiful soul who loved to make people laugh.
Potters Corners, an intersection just south of Turin, NY with a dark past of having other serious accidents, is now a four-way stop.
Up until recently, the intersection was controlled with a blinking yellow light for traffic heading north and or south, while a blinking red light handled traffic coming from Constableville and Lyons Falls.
