Total snow accumulations 4 to 7 inches across higher terrain, but less than 2 inches across lower elevations. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will produce some blowing and drifting snow in open areas. * WHERE...Lewis County. The majority of the accumulating snow will be limited to the higher terrain of the Tug Hill Plateau and western foothills of the Adirondacks, with much lower accumulations in the Black River Valley. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult with snow covered roads and reduced visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.

Total snow accumulations between 7 and 14 inches, mainly near and north of Route 28. * WHERE...Northern Herkimer County. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Roads will likely become slick and hazardous from moderate to heavy snow falling today through Monday. Visibilities may drop below 1 mile due to moderate to heavy snowfall and blowing snow. Travel could be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates up to 0.5 - 0.75 inch per hour at times today through tonight.
