Webb Police arrest, charge suspect for falsely reporting incident

THENDARA- Authorities in the Western Adirondacks have charged a suspect for falsely reporting an incident.

Alyssa M. Case (no age or address provided) was arrested on September 10 by the Town of Webb Police Department. Case is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of falsely reporting an incident in the third-degree.

According to police, investigators looked into a 9-1-1 call that was submitted on September 9 and a subsequent in-person report to police, made by Case late that night in Thendara, NY.

Through investigation, it was determined that Case knew that the information which she was reporting to Herkimer County 9-1-1 and to Webb Police was false, but still reported said information with the intent that it would result in her obtaining transportation home from the police.

Case will answer the charge in Webb Town Court at a later date.
