Westernville man accused of intoxicated driving in Rome: NYSP

ROME- A local man is accused of intoxicated driving in Oneida County, according to authorities.

Benjamin C. Sweet, 19, of Westernville, NY was arrested late Thursday by the New York State Police (Lee). He is officially charged with one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC).

Troopers say the charges were filed that night shortly after 9:00 p.m. in the city of Rome, NY. At press time, police said Sweet was released to a third-party.
