Boonville – Sharon A. Baker, 88, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world on September 30, 2024at Colonial Park Rehab & Nursing Center, Rome and she will be dearly missed.

She was born in Port Leyden, NY on January 27, 1936 to Lloyd and Christina Merry Mooney. She was married to Gordon Raymond Williams for 14 years then married to Charles Baker until he passed away in 1996. Sharon worked for the Lally’s Manufacturing knitting mill in Port Leyden and cleaned private homes in Old Forge. She also volunteered with the Port Leyden Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Sharon enjoyed camping, canning, baking, crocheting and bingo. For many years Sharon had a food booth for the Les Porter auctions.

Surviving are her brothers Rod and Larry Mooney; sister, Elaine Gallo; children, Tina (Jon) Stokes, Karen Montney, Gail (Terry) Gething, Jill House, Larry (Brenda) Williams, David Williams and Gordon Williams; 16 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her companion, Willis Croneiser, sister Emily Adams, brother Gene Mooney and son-in-law Ron Montney.

A funeral service will be held on October 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Mills Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 10-11 a.m. prior the funeral service. Burial in Port Leyden Cemetery.
