DEVELOPING: Emergency responders called to ATV accident near Boonville Sunday night; landing zone requested at Forestport Town Offices

BOONVILLE- Emergency responders were on the scene of an ATV accident Sunday night just outside the village of Boonville, NY.

As of this report, we have confirmation from emergency dispatch that a helicopter landing zone site was requested at the Forestport Town Offices.

With that said, details are still developing. Officials say the accident happened shortly after 9:00 p.m. on the River Road (near the Edmonds Road area). 

Initial reports from the scene suggested a victim was stuck underneath an ATV. A severe head injury was reported by emergency personnel, along with an amputated finger.
