Local man faces life in prison after being condemned guilty for sexually abusing children

UTICA- A local man is facing life behind bars for sexually abusing children.

On Friday, Michael Provost, of Lee, NY, appeared in court and was found guilty of seven counts each for predatory sexual assault and sex abuse in the first-degree.

He was also convicted for endangering the welfare of a child. These updates are according to the latest from WKTV.

He was first arrested in charged last fall. Officials said all of Provost’s victims were under the age of 11.

He now faces life behind bars, which would ultimately be his highest possible sentence.

His sentencing appearance is scheduled in mid-June.
