TRENTON- State Police have issued additional charges against the man accused of wrecking into an Amish buggy and then fleeing the scene earlier this month.
Douglas N. Clark, 58, was charged by Troopers last Monday for one felony count each of vehicular assault in the first-degree (BAC .18% or more) and leaving the scene of a serious injury accident.
He was originally charged with aggravated DWI, failing to exercise due care and following too closely after smashing into a horse-drawn Amish buggy, causing injuries.
The wreck happened on the night of Saturday, February 11 on the Powell Road, town of Trenton.
At press time, police said the investigation was still pending. Clark was released on his own recognizance.
